In Goddess We Trust

In Goddess We Trust is full of symbolism which I hope you will explore. As evening falls over the canyons of the American West, this moonlit matriarch glows. Generously crowned with a sacred heart and inspired by Mexican Folk Art, Mary floats in a cloud of roses, her boot firmly putting evil in it’s place. Cactus remind us of the sharpness of our world, yet her strength overcomes.

The twelves stars of HER privilege surround this blessed Queen of Hearts, while also representing the twelve tribes of Israel and the twelve apostles.

Mary’s dress blends a song of trust, hope and patriotism. Her blue veil represents her job as mediator between heaven and earth, humanity and God. Her necklace reminds that she is a superwoman. With ever open arms, Mary prays her rosary created with beads of eyes, mouths and bullets confirming the positive power and strength of prayer.

Created with a map of the American West, vintage sheet music, paper and acrylic, 36″ x 24″.
